وَكَذَٰلِكَ أَخْذُ رَبِّكَ إِذَآ أَخَذَ ٱلْقُرَىٰ وَهِىَ ظَـٰلِمَةٌ ۚ إِنَّ أَخْذَهُۥٓ أَلِيمٌ شَدِيدٌ

كلمة بكلمة

وَكَذَٰلِكَ
And thus

(is) the seizure (of) your Lord

رَبِّكَ
(is) the seizure (of) your Lord

الجذر: ربب
إِذَآ
when

أَخَذَ
He seizes

ٱلْقُرَىٰ
the cities

الجذر: قري
وَهِىَ
while they
حرف جر
ظَٰلِمَةٌ
(are) doing wrong

الجذر: ظلم
إِنَّ
Indeed
حرف جر
أَخْذَهُۥٓ
His seizure
اسم
الجذر: أخذ
أَلِيمٌ
(is) painful
اسم
الجذر: ألم
شَدِيدٌ
(and) severe
اسم
الجذر: شدد

الترجمة

Such is the chastisement of thy Lord when He chastises communities in the midst of their wrong: grievous, indeed, and severe is His chastisement.
