"Wherever ye are, death will find you out, even if ye are in towers built up strong and high!" If some good befalls them, they say, "This is from Allah"; but if evil, they say, "This is from thee" (O Prophet). Say: "All things are from Allah." But what hath come to these people, that they fail to understand a single fact?

Her nerede olursanız olun ölüm size yetişir, son derece sağlam kaleler içinde de bulunsanız yine kurtulamazsınız. Onlara bir iyilik erişirse "Bu, Allahtandır" derler, bir kötülüğe uğrarlarsa, "Bu, senin yüzündendir." derler. Ey Muhammed! De ki: "Hepsi Allah'tandır." Bu topluma ne oluyor ki, hiç söz anlamaya yanaşmıyorlar?

Nerede olursanız olun, sağlam kalelerde bile olsanız ölüm size ulaşır. Kendilerine herhangi bir iyilik gelse “Bu, Allah katındandır.” derler. Kendilerine herhangi bir kötülük geldiğinde ise “Bu, senin tarafındandır.” derler. De ki: “Hepsi Allah katındandır. Bu topluluğa ne oluyor ki neredeyse hiçbir sözü anlamıyorlar!”

What is amiss with these people that they come not nigh to understand a happening?
