3:14

زُيِّنَ لِلنَّاسِ حُبُّ ٱلشَّهَوَٰتِ مِنَ ٱلنِّسَآءِ وَٱلْبَنِينَ وَٱلْقَنَـٰطِيرِ ٱلْمُقَنطَرَةِ مِنَ ٱلذَّهَبِ وَٱلْفِضَّةِ وَٱلْخَيْلِ ٱلْمُسَوَّمَةِ وَٱلْأَنْعَـٰمِ وَٱلْحَرْثِ ۗ ذَٰلِكَ مَتَـٰعُ ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنْيَا ۖ وَٱللَّهُ عِندَهُۥ حُسْنُ ٱلْمَـَٔابِ

and [the] tilled land

ذَٰلِكَ
That

مَتَٰعُ
(is) provision
اسم
الجذر: متع
ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ
(of) life
اسم
الجذر: حيي
ٱلدُّنْيَا
(of) the world
اسم
الجذر: دنو
وَٱللَّهُ
but Allah
اسم
الجذر: أله
عِندَهُۥ
with Him
اسم
الجذر: عند
حُسْنُ
(is an) excellent
اسم
الجذر: حسن
ٱلْمَـَٔابِ
[the] abode to return
اسم
الجذر: أوب

الترجمة

Fair in the eyes of men is the love of things they covet: Women and sons; Heaped-up hoards of gold and silver; horses branded (for blood and excellence); and (wealth of) cattle and well-tilled land. Such are the possessions of this world's life; but in nearness to Allah is the best of the goals (To return to).

İnsanlara kadınlar, oğullar, yüklerle altın ve gümüş yığınları, salma atlar, davarlar, ekinler kabilinden aşırı sevgiyle bağlanılan şeyler çok süslü gösterilmiştir. Halbuki bunlar dünya hayatının geçici faydalarını sağlayan şeylerdir. Oysa varılacakyerin (ebedî hayatın) bütün güzellikleri Allah katındadır.

Kadınlara, çocuklara, yığınla altın ve gümüşe, nişanlı atlara, (sağılabilen) hayvanlara ve ekinlere karşı aşırı düşkünlük o insanlara çekici görünür. Bu(nlar), dünya hayatının geçimlikleridir. (Oysa) varılacak güzel yer, yalnızca Allah’ın katındadır.

Beautified for mankind is love of the joys (that come) from women and offspring; and stored-up heaps of gold and silver, and horses branded (with their mark), and cattle and land. That is comfort of the life of the world. Allah! With Him is a more excellent abode.
