← السورة 5

5:65

وَلَوْ أَنَّ أَهْلَ ٱلْكِتَـٰبِ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَٱتَّقَوْا۟ لَكَفَّرْنَا عَنْهُمْ سَيِّـَٔاتِهِمْ وَلَأَدْخَلْنَـٰهُمْ جَنَّـٰتِ ٱلنَّعِيمِ

وَلَوْ
And if

أَنَّ

(the) People

الجذر: أهل
ٱلْكِتَٰبِ
(of) the Book

الجذر: كتب
ءَامَنُوا۟
(had) believed

الجذر: أمن
وَٱتَّقَوْا۟
and feared (Allah)
فعل
الجذر: وقي
لَكَفَّرْنَا
surely We (would have) removed
فعل
الجذر: كفر
عَنْهُمْ
from them

سَيِّـَٔاتِهِمْ
their evil (deeds)

الجذر: سوأ
وَلَأَدْخَلْنَٰهُمْ
and surely We (would have) admitted them
فعل
الجذر: دخل
جَنَّٰتِ
(to) Gardens
اسم
الجذر: جنن
ٱلنَّعِيمِ
(of) Bliss
اسم
الجذر: نعم

الترجمة

If only the People of the Book had believed and been righteous, We should indeed have blotted out their iniquities and admitted them to gardens of bliss.
