إِنَّ فِرْعَوْنَ عَلَا فِى ٱلْأَرْضِ وَجَعَلَ أَهْلَهَا شِيَعًا يَسْتَضْعِفُ طَآئِفَةً مِّنْهُمْ يُذَبِّحُ أَبْنَآءَهُمْ وَيَسْتَحْىِۦ نِسَآءَهُمْ ۚ إِنَّهُۥ كَانَ مِنَ ٱلْمُفْسِدِينَ

الترجمة

Truly Pharaoh elated himself in the land and broke up its people into sections, depressing a small group among them: their sons he slew, but he kept alive their females: for he was indeed a maker of mischief.

Çünkü Firavun, (Mısır) toprağında gerçekten azmış, halkını parça parça etmişti. Onlardan bir zümreyi güçsüz buluyor, bunların oğullarını boğazlıyor, kızlarını ise sağ bırakıyordu. Belli ki o bozgunculardandı.

Şüphesiz ki Firavun, o yerde (Mısır’da) zorbalaşmış, erkek çocuklarını kestirip kadınlarını sağ bırakarak (ve) her birini (her grubu) zayıf düşürerek halkını çeşitli gruplara ayırmıştı. Şüphesiz ki o (Firavun) bozgunculardandı.

Lo! Pharaoh exalted himself in the earth and made its people castes. A tribe among them he oppressed, killing their sons and sparing their women. Lo! he was of those who work corruption.
