ٱلَّذِينَ يَتَّبِعُونَ ٱلرَّسُولَ ٱلنَّبِىَّ ٱلْأُمِّىَّ ٱلَّذِى يَجِدُونَهُۥ مَكْتُوبًا عِندَهُمْ فِى ٱلتَّوْرَىٰةِ وَٱلْإِنجِيلِ يَأْمُرُهُم بِٱلْمَعْرُوفِ وَيَنْهَىٰهُمْ عَنِ ٱلْمُنكَرِ وَيُحِلُّ لَهُمُ ٱلطَّيِّبَـٰتِ وَيُحَرِّمُ عَلَيْهِمُ ٱلْخَبَـٰٓئِثَ وَيَضَعُ عَنْهُمْ إِصْرَهُمْ وَٱلْأَغْلَـٰلَ ٱلَّتِى كَانَتْ عَلَيْهِمْ ۚ فَٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ بِهِۦ وَعَزَّرُوهُ وَنَصَرُوهُ وَٱتَّبَعُوا۟ ٱلنُّورَ ٱلَّذِىٓ أُنزِلَ مَعَهُۥٓ ۙ أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ هُمُ ٱلْمُفْلِحُونَ
Word by word
Translation
"Those who follow the messenger, the unlettered Prophet, whom they find mentioned in their own (scriptures),- in the law and the Gospel;- for he commands them what is just and forbids them what is evil; he allows them as lawful what is good (and pure) and prohibits them from what is bad (and impure); He releases them from their heavy burdens and from the yokes that are upon them. So it is those who believe in him, honour him, help him, and follow the light which is sent down with him,- it is they who will prosper."

Onlar ki, o ümmî peygambere uyarlar, yanlarındaki Tevrat ve İncil'de yazılmış bulacakları o peygambere uyup, onun izinden giderler ki, o, onlara iyiyi emreder ve onları kötülüklerden alıkoyar, temiz ve hoş şeyleri kendilerine helâl kılar, murdar ve kötü şeyleri de üzerlerine haram kılar, sırtlarından ağır yükleri indirir, üzerlerindeki bağları ve zincirleri kırar atar, işte o vakit ona iman eden, ona kuvvetle saygı gösteren, ona yardımcı olan ve onun peygamberliği ile birlikte indirilen nuru izleyen kimseler var ya, işte asıl murada eren kurtulmuşlar onlardır.

(Yani) yanlarındaki Tevrat ve İncil’de yazılı buldukları Elçi'ye, o ümmi Peygamber’e uyanlara (yazacağım) ki (o rasûl/elçi), onlara iyiliği emreder (öğütler), onları kötülükten engeller (sakındırır); onlara temiz şeyleri helal, pis şeyleri de haram kılar; kendilerinden ağır yüklerini ve üzerlerindeki zincirleri kaldırır (atar). Ona (o Peygamber’e) inanıp saygı gösteren, ona yardım eden ve onunla birlikte gönderilen nur’a (Kur’an’a) uyanlar, kurtulanların ta kendileridir.”

Those who follow the messenger, the Prophet who can neither read nor write, whom they will find described in the Torah and the Gospel (which are) with them. He will enjoin on them that which is right and forbid them that which is wrong. He will make lawful for them all good things and prohibit for them only the foul; and he will relieve them of their burden and the fetters that they used to wear. Then those who believe in him, and honour him, and help him, and follow the light which is sent down with him: they are the successful.
